The client asked for a fresh, classic, chic design for this new build holiday home for the whole family; children to older adults. The design was to include furniture, window treatments, and accessories for each room. The project needed to be managed from start to finish. The initial consultation was used to explore colour schemes and plan furniture for each room. The second consultation centred on mood boards with idea’s and samples, and the itemised quotation. From there all the orders were placed, which were delivered at different times (curtains and furniture usually take the longest). The interior designer managed all the deliveries, organised a decorator, curtain fitter, electrician, and handy man to do the various work needed. The cushions, accessories, bedding, table lamps, etc. were then styled by the designer. The whole process took several months, in which communication and meetings with the customer were of vital importance.
